COMMUNITY WORKSHOPS //

Filmmaking training and workshops can be a great way to promote and build community spirit especially if the outcome is community owned and produced.

We can work with you to write, produce, shoot, edit and promote your work in a fun and dynamic way - helping you share the good work you do,  and guarantee that you'll enjoy the process from start to finish.

ORAL HISTORY //

In 2017 we worked with the community of Caistor in Lincolnshire and their Army Cadet troop to collect and record important oral histories from local residents to help develop an archive of historical and cultural reactions to 20th Century conflicts.

This series of 7 films were filmed and edited entirely by the young Army Cadets following our training.

This award winning local history project was a collaboration between the local authority, town council, Army Cadets and residents of the local community.

THE FRIARY - FILMMAKING TRAINING //

We worked with the fabulous team at The Friary Centre in Nottingham which provides support for the homeless.

This project, developed through Open Cinema, saw us provide filmmaking training and support for visitors to The Friary Centre as a way of empowering them to share their stories of homelessness and as a way of them developing new professional skills.

All of the films were unique to the individual and were shot and edited by them.

WATERSIDE SUMMER OF ARTS //

We worked with members of the community who took over an empty store in The Waterside Shopping Centre - this short film is a promo made by participants who took part in the wide range of visual and media arts events and activities during the summer.

This film was developed as a great way to showcase and promote the exciting range of activities going on in the shopping centre and engaging members of the community to come in and have a go!
